IMAN/ISLAM

ARKANUL IMAN

(Pillars of Iman-The Belief in Islam)

1- Belief in one God: ALLAH

2- Belief in all prophets

3- Belief in the Holy Books

4-Belief in Angels.

5-Belief in Resurrection.

6-Belief in Fate. (Good or bad, every thing comes from Allah)

1- Belief in one God: ALLAH (Touheed)

Allah is the creator of whole universe (Universe includes everything except Allah who is the only one God and the Creator

Surah Ikhlas clearly describes this principle of Touheed (oneness of The God)

“Say: He is Allah, the One and only God, the Eternal, the Absolute, the Most Perfect. He has no child, and He has not been born. There is no one like him. (Surah-Ikhlas)

Kalimatu shahada is the basis of Islam.Reciting this having belief on it, one enters Islam.
It is: (Ashhadu Alla ilaha illa llahu, Wa ashhadu anna Muhammada Rasulullah- I bear witness that surely there is no God Except Allah and I also bear witness that surely Muhammad (Swollallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) is Allah’s Messenger)

2- Belief in all prophets

Allah has sent about one lakh and twenty thousands of Anbiya (Prophets) to this world, with the message of Islam (worshiping Allah as Only one God).
Out of them 313 were Rasuls (Messengers).
Out of them -25are mentioned in Quran

They are : 1-Adam(A), 2- Nooh(A), 3-Hud(A), 4- Swalih(A), 5- Ibrahim(A), 6- Lout(A),7- Ismail(A),8- Ishaq(A),9- Yaqoob(A), 10- Dawud(A)
(11)Sulaiman(A),(12)Ayyub(A),(13)Yusuf(A),(14)Shuaib(A),(15)Musa(A),(16)Haroon(A),(17)Ilyas(A), (18)Idris, (A)(19)Dhakariya(A),(20) Yahya 21)Alyasaa(A),(22)Yunus(A),(23)Thu lkifl, (24)Isa(A), (25)Muhammad (SAW).

3-Belief in the Holy Books:

It is compulsory in Islam to believe in the Holy books which the prophets received through revelation (Wahyu).
There are mainly Four Books revealed from Allah:

1- The  last  and final book - Holy Quran was revealed to Muhammad (SAW).It will remain till the tend of the world to guide the people.
2- Towrat was revealed to Musa, (A),
3- Injil was revealed to Isa (A),
4- Zabur was revealed to Dawud (A).

And four Suhuf (commandments)

Nabi sheeth (A)-50 commandments
Nabi Idrees(A)- 30 Commandments
Nabi Ibrahim(A) 10 commandments
Nabi Musa (A) 10 commandments

4- Belief in Angels:

Belief in Angels is also important for completion of Iman. Angels were created by Allah from light and they are usually unseen to the normal sights. They have no material structure like us.Therefore, they do not have food or sleep and do not get married or commit sins.

Great Angels:
Jibreel (A) is the greatest among all Angels; other great angels are:

1-Jibreel 2- Meekail 3- Israfeel 4- Azra-eel 5-Rizwan 6- Malik

(The teacher has to explain the duties of each angel for the children).

Belief in Resurrection:

The fifth pillar of Iman is the belief in, the day of restoration of all human beings after their death. This is the Day of Judgment (Youmul Qiyama), on which all prophets gave much emphasis in their Da’was (propagations).

In this last day, of which length is fifty thousand years, every person man or woman will appear in front of, Allah, The Almighty, and he will be tried for all of his acts during his life. Each word we spell and each action we do here is recorded by two angels of Allah.Allah, knows every thing that we do, say or think.

Those who believed in Allah and his prophets and performed good deeds will enter - Janna –Paradise,

The good deeds will be evaluated and weighed against the sins. The righteous persons will be sent to paradise, and the sinful people will be sent to the Hell.

Belief in Fate:

It emphasizes that good or bad, every thing comes from Allah and by the early decision from Him (Subhanu Taa’la)
