A strong society or community can be built
only through the best practice of good conducts between its members.
Quran has emphasised on this matter
in many of its verses. Some are here for reflection. Allah the almighty says in
the Holy Quran (49:10-13)
“The believers are but brothers, so make
settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy
” “O you who have believed, let not a
people scoff [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let
women scoff [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them”
“And do not insult one another and
do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. What a bad name is the name of
disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is
those who are the wrongdoers”
“O you who have believed, avoid most
suspicions. Indeed, some suspicion is a sin. And do not look out for faults or
backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when
dead? You would hate it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is accepting of
repentance and Merciful”
“O mankind, indeed we have created
you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one
another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most
righteous of you.
Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted”
Allah also says (17:36-37); “And do not follow that of which you have no
knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one]
will be questioned”
“And do not walk upon the earth proudly.
Indeed, you will never scratch the earth [apart], and you will never reach the
mountains in height!” He also says (31:18-19) “And do not turn your cheek [in
contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed,
Allah does not like everyone who is arrogant and boastful” “And be moderate in
your walks and lower your voice; indeed, the most unpleasant of sounds is the
voice of donkeys."
