The Prophet Muhammad is presented in the Qur’an in these words
[And We have not sent you forth
but as a mercy to mankind.] (Al-Anbiyaa’: 107)
His most distinguishing quality, was that he was a mercy and blessing to
all.
He loved all. All creations of the Almighty Allah.
Not only believers, but all humans and animals, birds, nature...
-Rasulullah (swallallahu alaihi wasallam) loved us very much. Always he
made Dua for us.
Rasulullah SAW wept tears always for his Ummah especially during his
night prayers,
He had so great care for us,
Once he said "I am very eager to see my ‘Brothers’.
His companions wondered: Messenger of Allah, Are we not your Brothers?
He replied: You are my companions. My Brothers are those who will be
coming after whom I have not seen...
Allah says:
‘Certainly there has come to you a messenger from among
yourselves, heavy upon him is your misery; eagerly desirous of
your well-being, to believers is most Compassionate and Merciful.’
(Surah Taubah, Verse 128).
-Even in the last moments of his life he was seen saying; ummathee,
ummathee (my ummah, ummah!).
-On the day of judgement also
he will be worried about us and he will be begging Allah to forgive us!!
What a sincere love and lover!
When the Prophet(swallallahu alaihi wasallam)’s rivals greatly increased
their oppression, his Companions asked him to curse them.
At this the Prophet replied,“I have not been sent to lay a curse upon
men but to be a blessing to them!’ انما
-His opponents continued to treat him and his Companions irrationally
and cruelly, but he always he prayed for them. (Hadith narrated by Muslim)
His heart was filled with extreme love for all regardless of caste,
faith, or colour …
He advised his Companions to concern all people as their brothers and
sisters.
He added, “You are all Adam’s offspring and Adam was born of clay.”
-His mission was to bring people up on the reality that all men and
women were each other’s blood brothers.
- The Prophet once said, “A true believer is one with whom others feel
safe. One who returns love for hostility.”
-And he also said,
“By Allah, he is not a believer, by Allah, he is not a believer, by
Allah, he is not a believer, with whom his neighbours are not safe.”
He also said, “If a believer is not able to help others, he must at
least do them no harm.
Yes,
-His words and actions always matched each other.
It is very easy to bring theory. We know that the self-application is
more important.
1-His Manners were formed on the basis of Qur’an.
The Prophet’s whole life went as a perfect example of us.
According to his wife `Ayisha, “He was a characterisation of the
Qur’an.”
Experience of Anas ® with Rasulullah as a servant for 10 years:
The Prophet’s own example was affirmed to by Anas ibn Malik, who served
the Prophet (swallallahu alaihi wasallam) for ten years.
He said that the Prophet never ever criticised him.
“When I did something, he never questioned my way of doing it; and when
I did not do something, he never questioned my failure to do it. He was the
most noble of all men.”!!
-Lesson of Tolerance from Rasulullah:
He never trailed revenge for any wrong done to him personally.
It over and over again occurred that when the Prophet would stand to
pray, his critics would come near him and disturb him, sometimes they threw
dirty things on him.
But the Prophet always determined for the policy of tolerance and
avoidance of hostility.
-Ever since the Prophet wanted to avoid war at all costs, he made all efforts
to bring peace contract between him and the opponents.
In that case Hudaibiyyah treaty is considered until now very historical.
The opponents went with a number of extremely provoking movements.
They asserted that “the Messenger of Allah” be taken out from prophet's
seal and i should be substituted by “son of Abdullah.”
The Prophet recognised their irrational condition and removed the
designation by himself.
For the re-establishment of peace in the area!!
The Prophet accepted a number of such unjustifiable articles that
were added by the enemy.
Once the Prophet was seated at some place in Madina, along with his
Companions.
During this time a funeral parade passed by.
On seeing this, the Prophet stood up.
One of his Companion commented that the funeral was that of a Jew.
The Prophet replied, “Was he not a human being?”
Just as the Prophet did,
We, too, must look at all men as human beings who deserve to be respected at all events.
Even he visited his enemies when they got sick. He always gave care for
Children, orphans, poor, widows, needy, beggars…etc.
He always preferred the needs for others over him and his family.
Rasulullah (swallallahu alaihi wasallam) showed his sincere love
to every creation for Allah, animals, birds, ants, plants, all in the nature
…etc.
Thus,
He had warned his companions on burning in the way of ants.
He had warned them to hold the bird and to separate it from its mother.
His pity on the camel which was forced to carry heavy weight made him to
caution its owner.
He always advised to not cut the trees. But to plant them as much as
possible and counted this deed as a great charity work. .
Even He said. If the world is going to end and you are holding a plant
in hand, please plant it!!
Once when he had to rush for prayers he found the cat sleeping in his
cloth -at the sleeve of his cloth.so he cut the part as he did not like to wake
up the cat from its sleep!!
Even we can see him trying to save the scorpion from its fall…
That is love. That is Muhammad (swallallahu alaihi
wasallam)
wasallam)
And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel
[evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you
and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.
We have been ordered to love
Rasulullah (swallallahu alaihi wasallam); as we have been instructed
to obey him.
It is a love that should control our lives.
Nothing should be dearer After Allah- to our hearts than the
Prophet (swallallahu alaihi wasallam)
This is not simply a duty or deed!!
Allah says in Surah Taubah: 24
Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your
kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a
decline, and the dwellings in which you delight . . . are dearer to you than
Allah and His Messenger, and striving hard and striving in His cause,
then wait until Allah brings about His Decision (torment). And Allah guides not
the people who are faasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient).” [al-Tawbah 9:]
Allah has clearly warned us and explained to us in the above that those
who are not loving prophet more than all beloved ones are not among those who
are guided.
The prophet (swallallahu alaihi wasallam) Says:
Hazrat Anas (R.A.) states that Rasulullah (swallallahu alaihi
wasallam) said:
“None amongst you can be a complete believer if he does not love me more
than his parents, children and the entire mankind.” (Bukhari)
