Twala`al-badru `alaina
طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا
مِنْ ثَنِيَّاتِ الْوَدَاعْ
|
طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا

min thaniyyatil wadaa`
|

From the mountains of Al-Wada`
|
The full moon has risen over us
|
مَا دَعَا لِلَّهِ دَاعْ
|
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَلَيْنَا
|
ma da`a lillahi daa’
|
wajaba sshukru `alaiyna
|
As long as there will be callers to Allah
|
We have to be thankful for it
|
جِئْتَ بِالْأَمْرِ الْمُطَاعْ
|
أَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوثُ فِينَا
|
ji'ta bil amril mutaa`
|
Ayyuhal mab`uthu feena
|
You came with a command which must be obeyed
|
O you who has been sent to us
|
مَرْحَبًا يَا خَيْرَ دَاعْ
|
جِئْتَ شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِينَة
|
marhaban ya khaira da`
|
ji'ta sharraftal madina
|
welcome, oh best of callers!
|
You came to give honour to this city
|
